Well what have I achieved in the last year… graduation baby! Yeah Its official I made it through Bournemouth Uni eventually lol.

I’m now working in digital advertising for Ad2One and absolutly loving it! Lots of work, and parties and always busy, but a good kick start to getting me out into the world.

So the last year has been mentally busy and thought I would just drop a quick note, but life after uni, sucks for a while… then gets AWESOME!

I need a plan of action but unfortunately got no idea where to start …

I am currently looking for a work and the only way to get in at the moment is internships!!! Working for free for three months, now that doesnt bother me … if i already had money!

So being on the dole I have a basic income for like a few months and can actually live, whereas if i do an intership I get nothing for three months with the POSSIBILITY that i’ll MAYBE get a job …hum. …

Thats not to say I wont jump at the chance of an internship if it means I’ll get a killer job but how the hell am I meant to fund that with no income for three months. And I could get a part time job but three months without a day off … and working practically 24/7…

Any ideas people?

Like they say  – the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer – pity you cant choose what class your born into …

So not much has happened today, just applied for job after job, gutta do some call backs tomorrow, and update the portfolio.

Things have to work out soon enough and everythings been a bit crap for too long.

So right now I’m gunna get me a job and then everything else will fall into place!!

Got my degree .. 2,1 WAHOOO!!!!!!!

I passed and got my degree. Since then I have been looking for some jobs but nothing major has happened yet, had a few leads and a couple of temp jobs, but nothings stuck yet.

I have been ill and feeling odd as me and the long term boyfriend broke up, but I’m staying positive now. Its been an odd four – five months so eventually my luck has to change right?

I have run out of tv to watch so guess its time to get back into the work game.

The truth is I like drawing my anime and working on bettering my own portfolio to my own schedule …. unfortunately there’s something called bills … and everything costs money …

Fingers crossed February will be my month and the start of my career and better future.

Time to stop dwelling!

I like how it came out and to see all my hard work pay off. And all the trouble i had with actors, timing and editing gave me so much to write about in the Production Analysis (which currently stands at 3200 words …. (second draft ))

I’m just in shock that uni is drawing to close and soon *fingers crossed* i will have my degree… I’m not sure im ready for this lol

Having handed in my dissertation, i felt like it went so wrong and i was in a downward spiral of feeling shit, but not any more. Positive thinking, attitude, diet and an action plan have kept me on track the last few weeks.

Granted there have been the odd day where i wanted to lie on a beach and forget it all, today is not one of those days. If i work over the weekend as i have been then come the soft deadline on Wednesday, i should have pretty much all of my work (maybe missing a sound or two but i still got a week left). The end is in sight, and although i wish i had more time and a potentially better project, i think i played to my strengths this year, instead of grasping a project which i had no clue on.

It’s still held its troubles in actors dropping out, a few technical issues (some probably still yet to come) but there is nothing i can do to change any of this now. All i can do is finish this project the best i can to get the mark i deserve, and hey university in the bigger picture is not the end of the world. A piece of paper might help in getting a job, but does it really reflect my ability, determination and drive to get what i want?

I’m just accepting life as it comes now and “winging it”, its too much stress otherwise and i don’t want to be driven into an early grave or end up bald over things which although important now, aren’t the end of the world.

Quick update on the work.

Major = good, nearly got of all my shoots, photos, videos and sounds done ready for the start of April.

Dissertation = Getting there. And this is mainly due to the fact of lack of concentration and the fact that i rewrite the same scentence about 50 times over. I’m so unsure about the way i write, even though its never let me down before, i’m just really paranoid, as this is the big one.

Fingers crossed.

However i have managed to get some of my work done, such as an excellent focus group on story versus play and adaptation based around alice in wonderland and doctor who. This was really interesting and helped me in discovering whats the most important part of an online text, story or play and where the specific pleasures lie and why people want to view these texts.

I have researched my theory have all my quotes and a forever changing intro, now just to write it up.. I think i need to stop planning and just go for it now so here goes …

Major wise i should have two more of the photo shoots and the sounds done for the interactive graphic novel, by the end of next month, and have figured out all the little nooks and crannies and technical issues, meaning i should be on good form for the creation of putting the project together.

I am feeling a hell of a lot more confident today than previous weeks and a lot more focused, i know i can do this work, and hopefully time will allow this.

Its gunna be gooooooood ^_^
